Surface Collections provides consulting services that focus on planning, implementation and education for Geography, Geographic Information Systems, and Cultural Resource Management projects. The primary partners, Sue Bergeron, MA and Jesse Rouse, MA, RPA, have expertise in both Geographic Information Systems and Cultural Resource Management.

Jesse Rouse is currently ABD in Geography from West Virginia University. Jesse has a Masters of Arts in Geography from WVU and a BS in Anthropology with a concentration in archaeology from Appalachian State University. He has 8 years experience in GIS and related geospatial technologies. He is also a Registered Professional Archaeologist with six years of field experience.

Sue Bergeron is currently ABD in Geography from West Virginia University. Sue has MAs in Geography from WVU and History from Syracuse University with a BA in History from Duke University. Sue has 6 years of experience in GIS and related geospatial technologies. She also has 7 years expierence in cultural resource management with a focus in history and historic archaeology.
